Charge and issue an invoice

Last updated

What you need

A sale on the summary screen, ready to confirm. To issue an invoice, a customer on the sale and an internet connection.

1. Card payment

Choose Card and confirm the sale. DiroTPV only records that it was paid by card: it does not process the payment or connect to any card terminal. You take the payment with your usual terminal.

2. Cash payment

Choose Cash and confirm. A screen opens with the total to collect and a numeric keypad. Type what the customer hands you and you will see the change to give back. If the amount is not enough, the change shows in red and you cannot confirm. You also see the day’s cash total for reference.

3. Generate the invoice if needed

On the summary, the Generate invoice button is red by default and turns green when you switch it on. It can only be switched on if the sale has a customer. The invoice is generated in the same operation that confirms the sale, with no second screen.

4. Remember: issuing an invoice requires a connection

Invoice numbering is centralised per company, so issuing an invoice needs an internet connection. If there is no network when you confirm, the sale is saved and synced later, but the invoice is not generated automatically. You can invoice it later with Consolidate month in the invoice history, which groups a customer’s pending sales for a month (explained in the history guide).

An issued invoice cannot be edited. Numbering is consecutive per company and starts again at 1 each calendar year.

Submission to the AEAT is not yet available in DiroTPV. You will find the details on the Veri*Factu page.

5. If something fails

If there is a real error, such as not enough stock, the app shows it, keeps the cart, and you can fix it and retry without duplicating the sale.

What’s next

Look at what you have sold in the sales and invoice history.
