Tariffs and the price selector
Last updated
What you need
At least one product. See products if you do not have one yet.
1. Understand what a tariff is
A tariff is a named price that belongs to a product: for example, “Retail” and “Wholesale”. Tariffs are per product, not global. You can edit or delete them whenever you like; sales already made keep the price they were charged at.
2. Create a product’s tariffs
In Products, open the product and add its tariffs with a name and a price. An administrator can edit and delete them right there.
3. Pick a price when selling
On the sale screen, tapping a product opens the price selector with all its tariffs. You pick one and the product goes into the cart with quantity 1.
4. Let the app remember
When the sale has a customer, the app remembers the last tariff used with that customer for that product and preselects it. There is no fixed field on the customer record: it is learned from previous sales.
5. Repeat or switch tariff
If you tap the same product again with the same tariff, one unit is added to its line. If you pick a different tariff for the same product, a new, separate line is created.
You can see how this looks on the features page.
